Hello, I was hoping I could as here for some
I work for a school district that recently deployed cisco
I am trying to tie in the new front desk
Here are the steps I have taken.
1. I added a cisco 2901 router with a VIC2-4FXO card installed to call manager.
2. I add 5800 to the Attendant DN.
I am unsure on what needs to be done for me to pick up the cisco phone and dial into the FXO port for the paging system to pick up.
I am extremely new to cisco voice and would appreciate any help or feedback.
Here is the router config.

As you say you added an attendant DN, I'll assume you configured it as MGCP
Have you already configured your GW as MGCP and do you see the port as registered??
What you need to do, is to configure a route pattern with whatever DN/partition that adjust to your dial plan, and choose that FXO from the gateway list, to route calls to it.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have configured the router as MGCP and It shows registered in Call manager. Is there any way you could give an example of a route partition and dial plan.
Thank you for your help I am learning as I go.

The dial plan is EVERYTHING you have configured in your system you can dial, you need to know how it's organized to configure it the right way, but you need to look at what you have to find that out.
