Connecting PC through CISCO SPA525G

Hi all,

Anyone knows if is it possible to connect a mini-switch through/behind the PC Ethernet port of a Cisco SPA525G?

Thank you.

Yes, this is possible. Not a recommended best practice, but it is possible. I've connected a switch behind a phone for a temporary solution to connect a printer or other network device. One thing to keep in mind is all devices would be on the same data VLAN.

Thank you so much Brandon.

I tried to connect 2 PC's to the mini-switch, and with a 100Mb symmetric WAN access, barely pass 15Mb. But the 2 PC's connected directly to the switch, reaches 100Mb easily.

Is the switch connected via a gigabit port? Is it managed? Can you see any errors on the port?
