Hi,

I have a requirement where, we want the end users who are outside the organization (who are receiving calls) to be able to see an internal number (direct line). The current configuration

  1. Two internal numbers which are part of a hunt group/pilot
  2. When the internal user dials the external number (mobile number) it should be displayed as the hunt group number which is a direct extension

Any idea how to achieve this? Thanks in advance

Regards

Hi,

What's you're environment CME or CUCM?  Also what are you using as your Gateway?  SIP / CUBE, MGCP or H.323?

Thanks

Rob

Thanks Rob!

We are using CUCM and we are using MGCP

I take it your Hunt Pilot is configured as an external number?  You are able to dial the Hunt Group from Outside?  Or you have a Translation Pattern that translates an external number into the Internal Hunt Pilot number?

If so you will need to configure the External Number Mask in the Device Profile or Directory Number for each member of the Hunt Pilot to that external number.  You will then need to check the box for "Use Calling Party's External Phone Number Mask" in the Route Pattern for outbound calls to your MGCP Gateway.

This should make the Caller ID display as the Hunt Pilot or the Translation Pattern for the Hunt Pilot instead of the Inidividuals DDI.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Rob

Thanks Rob. I will try this. Really appreciate your help.

Thanks Rob, it worked. When I was working on the route pattern, got the attached error. Hope its ok.

I was able to call from both the numbers and the on the mobile it was showing the hunt pilot number.

Thanks for your help.

Correction, that is not an error but just  a message.

That message is fine and can be ignored.  I'm glad it's working for you.
