Corporate Directory on CUCM 10.5 cluster

Hi All,

I having an issue with the corporate directory.

Under enterprise parameters, under url directories, I have changed it to be the IP Address of the pub and not the hostname. However when the pub is down, and the phones registers to the sub, the corporate directory is not accessed. The error message is host not found.

Has anyone every received this issue?

Sounds like it is working as designed. You are pointing it to an IP address that is down so the host will not be found. If your Publisher is down you have bigger problems than the directory.

I don't know of a way to use a backup IP address for the directory although if you used a hostname you might be able to do it through DNS.
