Hello All,
I would need some help on CUCM directory services.
My customer has several sites and a central CUCM will be deployed, integrated with AD as well. As there are several sites, some users have the same name/label like "technician". So if someone wants to do a search on that name, will have a lot of listed extensions. Is it possible to make a directory per site, which would allow a search only for that site where I want to find the person/number?
Thanks for your help and time!
Regards,
Tibor

You can but you'd be looking at using a 3rd party external directory server to do that. There is nothing built into call manager to have separate directories, there's only one corporate directory by default.

CUCM directories are now a Phone service, you configure your directory script and host it in another web server.
In CUCM you just create a new Directory, configure the URL to point to the web server directory script and then you subscribe the phones from each location to their local directory.
The directory you create can either be fixed or do AD searches.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
Just one more question, in that case, how the intergration would be done?
- the 3rd party directory would pull the users from the AD (intergation in between), and the CUCM would use a URL to reach the 3rd party external directory? Is this a kind of xml based solution or something else?
Thanks!!
Kind regards,
Tibor
