Hi guys,
First time poster and I hope this hasn't been asked already but if it has I definitely couldn't find it.
It's my first time using CTI Route Points and I've been asked a question from our development team.
The question is "Can you have a ringing call within a CTI route point that is simultaneously ringing on a user extension?"
The specific scenario is designed for an HMI telephony application that we are looking to add DECT phones too, so the user may not be at their desk to answer via the application.
I hope that's enough info to go off.
Thanks in advance.
Eddie
PS I'm aware that the shared line facility isn't available on CTI Route Points but someone, somewhere must have required this before us....surely?
EDIT: I just thought I'd have a going at putting an immediate divert on the CTI Route Point which diverts to a DN configured on the CTI port and the phone. The problem I have now come across is that CTI ports can only queue 2 calls and then refuse to accept more even though the phone will keep presenting calls to a maximum of 96 (7861 phone).

I am assuming the scenario is that a call is offered to cucm and you want to hand it off to a 3rd party application through CTI, but also have a DECT phone ring, that is registered as an analog port on cucm?
You would probably need to play around with adding the CTI RP to a line group together with the DECT device, and use broadcast or top down algorithms.
I never actually had to implement that scenario myself, but hunt groups seem a logical out of the box solution to start playing with first.
good luck

Yeah, I have a feeling this is going to be a trial and error solution. I will repost if I manage to solve it.
Thank you.
