Hello all,
We recently upgraded our CUCM from 8.6 to 10.5.2. We are running on temp licenses as we are still working on active UCSS contract.
I did run LCU and got this result
UCL Enhanced Plus 15
UCL Enhanced 1,498
UCL Basic 3
UCL Essential 85
TP Room 8
Also, per your License Count Utility, we see 3,154 unused Device Licenses.
So, now we have to buy extra licenses for 3154 unused devices. So we have will have to buy enhanced user licenses for those unused devices?

Hi.
Device License are different from user License.
Device License are consumed per device type .
Each device mode may consume different quantity of DLU.
User Licence depends on how many users will have an IP Phone, which type and which feature.
eg.
Enhanced user license

Uday,
I don't fully understand what you mean by "unused devices". where do you see this?
If you go to the Cisco Prime License manager on your CUCM cluster, and go to the license TAB>usage, this tells you exactly what you have deployed and what sort of license you need (enhanced/essential. standard etc.).

Hi,
Unused device license( for version earlier than 9) are licenses he bought but didn't consume.
As Dennis said, If you've already imported all phones and users, check on ELM all license you needed.
You can also post a screenshot here so we can help you further

Hi.
If possible, please login into your ELM and select "License" -->>> "Usage" and post a screenshot
Thanks a lot

Looking at that screen shot it seems that only 107 of your devices are actually assigned to a user.
you can add users to a device by association the extension to a user. go to the phone's configuration>extension and at the bottom associate the relevant user.
