Cucm 12.5 flex plan licensing deployment

Hello all,

 

We are planning for procure flex plan for our new cucm and unity 12.5.

how licencing will be done in flex plan and licensing model for cucm 12.5.

Several articles on cisco.com like this one https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/software/smart-accounts/white-paper-c11-741659.html to explain how a smart license product uses a proxy or Cisco SSM to do this.
The licenses are in your smart account sit in Cisco portal (bought via Flex agreement), the product like CUCM will then use its configuration to contact the right smart account that you configure based on direct of indirect model.

Right approach would be to contact your Cisco Account Manager aligned for your organization.

 

Depends upon, there are 3 models, knowledge user licensing, named user and active user licensing.

In 12.x licensing is smart licenses and to make cucm complaince we use direct or on-prem Satellite..so my query is if customer buy flex plan then how this will communicate to cssm to make cucm complaince?

It’s the same , Flex only drives the licensing into the smart license portal for you to draw from , on a subscription basis. It’s still the same smart licensing.
