CUCM 7.1.4, H323 -> SIP, DTMF

Hi.Having trouble with DTMF signalling.

Remote site1 (CME) dials outide number of remote site2 through CUCM.

Site1 - (h323) - CUCM - (sip) - Site2 - (sip) - PSTN

Call connects with RemoteMediaIPAddress at site2.

SIP TRUNK Site2 uses RFC2833 DTMF setting.

H323 dial-peer to CUCM at site1 has h245-alphanumeric DTMF setting.

how do i make DTMF working?

After some invesigation i found what CUCM fails to assign MTP for this calls. I have set up MTP on CUCM itselft and assigned it to Media Resource Group List and assigned that list to both device pools this trunks are assigned.

How do i troubleshoot MTP selection and assignment?

Alright, tracing further revealed this: No matching caps for either side A or side B, MTP not allocated

Any thoughts how to fix this?

It appears what regionA device lacks some capability. It is Cisco 3845 Router with CME.

Hello Utair,

Where you able to find a resolution? I am experiencing similar issue in my UCCE environment.

Best regards,

Troy

Yes, with help of support engineer. Problem was with incorrect "dtmf-relay" dial-peer settting.

Many things have changed over time, can't find details. Sorry.
