Greetings!
I have just bought an ATA 187 device and need to configure it for a fax line in my business with my CUCUM 7.1.5.30000-1 install. However, I don't have the ATA 187 device listed as an option when adding a new device... only the older ATA 186 version.
I've downloaded the following files:
cmterm-ata187.9-0-3-0.cop.sgn
cmterm-ata187-QED.cop.sgn
Unfortunately, I have no idea what to do with them. I attempted to upload them to the TFTP server and restarted it, but to no success.
How do I get the device added to my device list so that I can configure this device? I've looked through the release notes and they reference a readme file that I can't for the life of me find.

Hi there,
From the ReadMe (attached link below) You are on the right track, but use the method below instead;
For Cisco Unified Communication Manager Release 7.1.5, 8.0.2 and higher, you must do all software installations and upgrades by using the Software Upgrades menu options. The system can upload and process only software that Cisco Systems approved.

Cheers!

Woohoo! Thank you!
I've uploaded firmware many times for phones, but it's my first ATA, and go figure I didn't realize that process for adding device packages.

Hi:
I followed the instructions found in the readme file. I have the Cisco 187 as an option and setup the ATA 187 in Call Manager
However, my ATA 187's won't register.

Good stuff my friend
The Readme is only available when you click on the "Download Now" button
on Software Downloads. That's the only time you will see it.
Cheers!
