Hello,
I have recently configured hardware transcoders in our environment to translate between g729 endpoints and our g711 CUCCX system. Works great. Only question is I would like to view its usage on the gateways and can't seem to find the sessions. I'm using the command "show dspfarm all" and can see the following output whenever I am transcoding;
SLOT DSP VERSION STATUS CHNL USE TYPE RSC_ID BRIDGE_ID PKTS_TXED PKTS_RXED

It gives me the impression that the hardware transcoders are not being engaged, but when I remove them from the MRG, the calls don't connect. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi there,
Try the following which will give you the resource utilization and channels free:
show voice dsp
show voice dsp group all

Hi Chris,
I tried them, but the output is kind of too general since it includes resources being used by the PRIs (and, oddly, shows the codec on each channel as g711. If it were transcoding, it should show up as g729, no?) The other odd thing is that when I do a MeetMe on the hardware CFB, this is my output. Very unsusual, it shows the resources as XCODE, not conf. Very confusing. Any ideas?;

Nothing. Starting to wonder if there's a bug. Clearly the hardware transcoder works, but I can't find any output.

Okay, no bug. Figured out the problem. There was a software CFB in the MRGL that was being engaged instead of my intended hardware CFB, so since a software CFB does not support g729 the transcoder on the gateway was being engaged. When I remove the software CFB, the hardware CFB is used (of course). Thanks for your input, guys, much appreciated.
