CUCM 8.5 with 9971 XML Idle Application Error

Hi,

Wondering if anybody can help me with this one. We have a CUCM 8.5 installation that we have just provisioned a new 9971 phone onto. All is working fine, but the new 9971 keeps bringing up an XML Idle Application Error when it has been idle for an amount of time.

The other phones on the system are 7900 series, and they show the idle information correctly.

I think the Idle URL cannot be displayed by the 9900 series phones. You will have either remove the Idle URL or make sure the Idle URL is formatted correctly to be displayed on the 9900 series.

Hi George,

Many thanks for your reply. When we look at the configuration of this phone in CUCM, there is no URL in the Idle URL field. 

It seems strange that even though we are not calling an Idle URL, the phone is bringing up this error when it has been idle for a time.
