CUCM 9.1.2.10000 Unable to login to CLI

bpoole1975
Level 1
Level 1

Unable to login via SSH or console via VMware.

When trying to login via SSH with the correct ID and password, the CLI interface will reset.

If I try to login with the incorrect ID or password, the CLI will say wrong login.

I'm able to login to OS Admin webpage and this is a fresh install.

Hi,

Sounds like an issue with the OS and not CUCM (Linux issue). Seems like somehow you had one session allowed for SSH and you already used it, therefore the second attempt immediately disconnects after login. I really haven't faced this myself, but might be worth to google the problem.

Regards,

Tere.

Hi ,

May ne this bug could be the reason even the CUCM version is not exactly same.

You need to open TAC case.

Cannot SSH into OS Admin CLI, Permission denied

CSCug35094

Symptom:
Cannot SSH into the OS Admin CLI, the following error message is displayed:
/usr/local/platform/bin/startcliscript.sh: Permission denied
GUI access works fine.
Conditions:
CUCM 9.1.1.10000
Workaround:
1. From OS GUI generate root password.
2. From root > etc/group, found customer is using admin as user name, which is the same to login to GUI
3. We do "su admin" to gain access to OS and do command below:
"utils os secure permissive"
4. You can now login to the CLI via SSH
