Hi team,
The new CUCM allows LDAP synced end user accounts, and local end users accounts to coexist. We have a situation where we have the users added to CUCM locally with the same USERID as the users in Active Directory. We are planning to enable LDAP Sync and we need to keep the locally added users for Extension Mobility. And The LDAP user account for Jabber.
Would there be a conflict as it is the same UserID?
Thanks !

Hi,
Once you enable LDAP Directory integration on CUCM all existing users with the same username as a user in LDAP will be converted to LDAP integrated users. The existing settings will still be there after enablement of the LDAP Sync.
Users not in LDAP will remain in the system as locally defined users.
As EM uses the PIN code for authentication and Jabber uses Username/Password, you will not run into problems as far as I can see right now.

Erik

Hi,
Pins will remain completely independent once LDAP sync is enabled. LDAP authentication will only take placed if that is enable also, but for any local or non LDAP accounts in CUCM v9, password authentication would be local to CUCM including PINs.

What would happen to the PINs for the users converted to LDAP integration users? would the PINs remain the same or reset?
Thanks a lot !
