Hi All,

We have Cisco Callmanager 9.1 and integrated with LDAP and also we have manually added some local end users in the callmanager server. Is there any way to hide the local end users from the corporate directory?

Regards

Thejas,

One way to hide users from corporate directory is to make them application users. Application users wont show up in corporate directory.

Dear aokanlawon,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Is there any other way to hide the local end users from the corporate directory. ?

This is the only way where you can hide users and they can still be in CUCM. The other way will be to use LDAP and to prefix the frstname and lastname fof the users with a chrachter like (~) which LDAP doesnt reckognise, hence the users will not be imported into CUCM.

The application user method is better..because the users still exist in cucm and can still use some cucm features

Hi Jaime,

Thanks for your suggestion.. Can you please guide me how the create the directory script for this and how to upload the script in the ccm server ?

Hi,

If you don't require checking LDAP - you can create "dummy" user. Then configure personal directory for this user. After assign directory service to all other users using ID/pin pair of dummy user. Issue here that directory should be filled in manually.
