Hi everyone,
I want to integrate CUCM v.7 with VCS and VCS-Express. The question is can I dial a URI from Cisco IP phones like 8961 or 9971? And from Old version CUCM 7.1 or I have to upgrade to CUCM v9 or 10

URI dialing was added in CUCM 9.0, so you need to upgrade if you desire to dial via URI.

Thank you
what if I need to dial by IP?
Can I do it in CUCM 7?

Nope, phone number only.

For dialling a URI, the only way to get anywhere close, is to do some digit translation magic on the VCS. But this means pre-configuring every URI you intend to dial on the VCS and assigning it a DN.
For IP Addresses, I believe there's a way to do digit translation on the VCS to turn a DN into an IP address.
