Hello,
Looking for recommendations as to how and what's the best possible approach to do a cleanup of CUCM.
CUCM Version: v14
DN's: 6000+
Devices: 5000+
There are a lot of DN's and Devices which are not used. What would be the best possible way to get rid of them ?
One way i can think of is to export Bulk reports and remove all that isn't used in like last 90 days.
Thankyou

Hi,
To Remove DN not associated to a Device, you can go on "Call Routing" ---> "Route Plan Report" and on "find" selector choose "Unassigned DN" to find all unused DN. You'll see that you can select "Delete All Found Items" option to delete all in one click.
For Unused phones, you mean unregistered ones?
Please let me know

Hi,
you could login viacli on all cucm nodes and issue the following command :
show risdb query phone
It will show the last registration date since last reboot of cucm nodes.
Copy the result in a csv file and import on a spreadsheet.
Than filter all lines with the unr status.
Keep in mind that the timestamp is showed in epoch format that you can easily convert with a excel formula.

One thing that would be a good idea before you bulk delete anything would be to take a bat file backup of everything so if you accidentally hit something still in use you can either import it from that bat file or manually rebuild it exactly as before.
