CUCM DLUs count

Hi,

I have a CUCM 8.5 in our interop lab. We don't use demo licenses.

This is a commerically purchased system and we buy enough licenses to support almost every type of Cisco Phone that exists. Currently we are licensed for 230 DLUs.

Generally only a few phones are used for testing at any given time. However all phones in our inventory are programmed and exist in the CUCM.

I'd like to know, is there any way to configure the system, that only the registered phones will be consuming  phones licenses and provisioned phones will not consume any licenses?

Hi Yury,

Sadly not my friend

As soon as an IP Phone is configured via cucmadmin it will consume

the apporpriate DLU's. No way around that.
