Hi All,

Currently I am using CUCM 8.0 on MCS7845H2-K9-CMA2.  As CUCM 8.0 is going out of support from 31st October 2014, I am planning to upgrade it to CUCM 8.6 and then CUCM 9.0.

Could you please advice if i can use my existing hardware to perform above upgrade and can i run CUCM normally with all features / move, add, change.  In one of the documents i read that above hardware can be used for "bridge upgrade".

What exactly is "bridge upgrade" and can it support normal operations of CUCM.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

the compatibility matrix says MCS7845H2-K9-CMA2 model is supported only for bridged upgrades. What at the best u can do is upgrade to 8.6 or 9 , take backup and restore backup on new compatible hardware.

Bridge is supported in Non-production only.
