Hi,

I wanted to know what is the difference between a lab image of CUCM (for example

CM6.1-K9-LAB) or a production image (for example CM6.1-K9-DL320G4).

What can we do with the production one and not with the other one ?

Regards,

Fadel

Cisco CM6.1-K9-LAB - SW Unified CM 6.1 Appliance, 100 DLUs, Lab System Only

As it states, this is for LAB use only. It also supports only 100 DLUs eg 100 Phones. It will not be supported in production environment. it is important to also know that these products have reached their end of life.

The CM6.1-K9-DL320G4 is the full appliance and can support as many DLUs depending on your hardware platform. This is also End of Life

Thanks but I have some few more questions !

1) What do you mean by end-of-life, no more lab image or no more the 6.1 version ?

Do we have for example CM8.0-K9-LAB ?

2) And also to order the CUCM DVD, is the only solution to pass through the Product Upgrade Tool or is there another solution ?

3) Last, this file for example cucm_8.0_vmv8_v2.1.ova, what is it used for ?

Thanks again!

End of lime means Cisco is no longer selling it for both. There is no CM8.0-K9-LAB, but you can use the full CUCM 8 for lab or demo purposes for about 30 days after which your license will expire I think..

You can only use PUT if you have an active contract. If you dont have an active contract then you will need to request a fresh order.

cucm_8.0_vmv8_v2.1.ova..............This is an OVA template that is used for CUCM 8 installation in a UCS environment with Vmware  ESXi servers etc
