Hi,
Just wanted to throw something out there and get some opinions.
Going to be doing a CUCM, CUPS, Jabber and Unity Connection rollout for a client.
Got a question around CUCM with AD integration and end user device association.
Would it be best to do a BAT import of users/phones so all users are associated with their phone then do the AD integration (against ip phone field using extension).
So long as AD users have correct Ext and end users user id in cucm is setup as extension all will remain in CUCM DB and not be wiped.
Orrrrrr is there an easier way to bulk associate end users that are being pulled from AD with their respective handset?
Sorry if this rambles a bit ; )
Thanks in advance for all input.

Yes you can use BAT (update users) to associate users to their devices.

If the extention matches what's already configured on the end user you the device association done to the user before enabling LDAP sync will be preserved. It's up to you if you prefer to import the users with devices first or do it after the LDAP sync.
