CUCM LDAP Sync with OU that has "&" (yes an ampersand) in it

CUCM System version: 8.0.3.20000-2

LDAP Sync with MS AD 2003 for Users.

One OU has an & character in the name, wondering if that is causing problems because after the initial synchronization we are not recieving updates.  In addition, when you select the LDAP configuration name the button "Cancel Sync Process" is present continually.  All other LDAP sync processes with other non-Ampersand OU names are working correctly.

LDAP user Search Base      ou=Faculty & Staff,ou=AD Users,dc=xxx,dc=xxx

I notice that Microsoft allows ampersand as a legal character in OU names, but wondering if Cisco doesn't agree.  Not sure which log to investigate.

Any ideas?

You will need to change OU name for it to work.  LDAP sync in CUCM does not allow special characters.   Its kind of a no no anyways when configuring any type of network gear...    Host names, admin accounts, accounts in general should never have (nor they are allowed usually) with special characters.  I even frown on dashes or hypens in hostnames.  Just not worth the hassel.
