CUCM v11 Cisco 8845 Device "Unable to obtain additional wallpapers from server"

Hello Community,

I have tried to upload some costum images to CUCM, while updating the List.xml in order to change the Wallpaper, mainly on Cisco 8845, however I receive the error on the display "Unable to obtain additional wallpapers from server".

I am bit worried if I use the correct dimensions for the images, as well as if the List.xml has the correct format.

First of all, you may see at the attachement List that there are 2 List.xml (is this right)?

Then, on the attachement "images" you may see the 2 new images that I have uploaded to CUCM.

Last but not least, I attach the 2 List.xml files that are included on the CUCM (as these are shown on my web-browser)

It would be great if someone could assist on the above,

Many thanks in advance!

Depending on phone model, you'll have a different directory and a different List.xml for each one

Hello Jaime,

Based on your experience, do you think that the List.xml files that I have attached are on a wrong format?

thanks,

George

Additionally, when I check the status messages of the phone I notice the error :

"[17:35:43 23/02/17] File not found : Desktops/800x480x24/List.xml"

Please also check attached "status_messages.png"

Any help is much appreciated.

George

Have you uploaded the files to ALL your TFTP servers?

Make sure there are no ITL issues.

Actually, currently there is only one TFTP, below are the full error messages on the phone

[17:22:13 24/02/17] Unknown reason:101
[17:22:14 24/02/17] Trust list update failed
[17:22:16 24/02/17] VPN not configured
[17:22:18 24/02/17] TFTP error : DR9b645a8b-a973-051a-5cbe-8bf8f22b9b8f.xml
[17:22:19 24/02/17] TFTP error : SKf71f23ad-984b-dbba-3c37-49928c4dd745.xml.sgn
[17:22:20 24/02/17] Trust list update failed
[17:22:23 24/02/17] VPN not configured
[17:22:24 24/02/17] TFTP error : DR9b645a8b-a973-051a-5cbe-8bf8f22b9b8f.xml
[17:22:25 24/02/17] TFTP error : SKf71f23ad-984b-dbba-3c37-49928c4dd745.xml.sgn
[17:22:44 24/02/17] File not found : Desktops/800x480x24/List.xml

Moreover, when I ssh on the CUCM by show itl I see that the "The ITL file was verified successfully"

Do you think "Trust list update failed" may be the case?

Try deleting the certs from your phone and see if then it works.

There is no ITL signature on the device, if this is what you mean.

Is there an easy way to delete the CTL from the phone, or just factory reset?

Hi!

I have factory reset the device to download again the ITL file and now I am able to check the option on choosing the Wallpaper file.

However I get the error now "wallpaper cannot be set due to a problem loading the image"...

Hi Georgois

Please check if you are facing any of these issues

Background images size and directory

The main issue was that the phones had to be reset and make sure that the correct ITL file is in place.

Jaime thanks once more for your hints,
