I have a client who is looking into migrating from an analog telephony system to a VoIP system. Right now they're trying to decide whether to go with ShoreTel or Cisco platform. There are appx 250 users spread out over 12 locations. SIP would be the primary PSTN access. I'm trying to fnd some solid information for reccommending Cisco vs. the ShoreTel platform. They already have an investment in Cisco routing and switching as well as security with ASA, so I think that makes an excellent case already, seamless interop with existing network equipment. But obviousley the ShoreTel is much more cost effective (at least on inital deployment). I fell the Cisco solution will most surely server them better in the long run, but again, I really need some compelling data for this push. Since new install, looking at CUCM 8.5 and CUC 8.5. They're running Exchange 2007 already, so hoping to leverage the pseudo unified messaging with CUC 8.5. Possible CUPS, but that would be down the road. SRST at remote branches obviousely critical. Security also crucial. Any thoughts, ideas on where I can pull some solid information pushing towards Cisco's direction? Thanks again!
