Hello,
This is my first post. I am creating a residence situation using CallManger 4.1.
When the front door calls a person in residence I want the phone to have a different ringtone.
I can do this for PSTN or internal network calls using Cadence rings.
However, I want to be able to make an internal call from a designated number have a different ringtone.
Is this possible? Does anyone have any advice?

Hi James,
Being that this is your first post Welcome Aboard!
I wish I had a spiffy answer for you, but, this is NOT possible based on the CLID of the caller
This is the closest thing;
Distinctive Ring per Line
This release adds support for seven distinctive ring patterns to Cisco IP phones. Phone users with multiline phones can configure a distinctive ring pattern for each line on the basis of a logical precedence or importance.
This setting is done on the phone itself. Via Settings>User Preferences>Rings
Once there you can select the Line that you want to set a ring for and Select>Play>Select>Save>Exit
Hope this helps!

thank you for the reply.
Unfortunatly, they are only using 7911 phones.
I was hoping this was possible. Perhaps having a distinct ringtone for a call pattern or translation.
However, I am sure we can make due with what they have.

Unfortunately this is not possible at all, there is no config to do this.
The only way to have a different ring tone is what Rob mentioned of setting different ringtones per line in the phone.
