disable voice ports in VG224(sccp)

Hi, I have  a problem in the CUCM version 6.

The  problem is that the cpu is very high, a TAC engineer tells me it's because I  have many ports on the VG224s (50 devices)  without giving an extension, the engineer  recommended that I disable unused ports.

As I do to disable this ports   of VGs?

To disable ports on Vg224:

login and get into the priv exec mode

configure the voice-port you wish to disable

perform a shut on that port

if  I put a port in shut, the port stopped trying to register on the ccm?

Yes, shutting down the port will prevent it from

attempting to register with the CUCM. You

can also issue shutdown on the pots dialpeers

corresponding to those ports not in use and

service stcapp.

Infact should not have those dialpeers to begin

with.
