Does the BE6K with CM 9.1 Support 7940/60 phone

Client is upgrading from CM 4.0 to the BE6K 9.1.   He wants to keep the old phone.   Does the BE6K support the 7940 and 7960 phones?

Absolutely supported, in fact Cisco never decommissions any old phones, they may not have recent firmware load nor get any further code releases, but the phones continue to be supported to be registered with CUCM.
