Drop down last number redial

Hello,

Our standard phones have been the Cisco 7911 and 7941/2.   They are now eol and we have started to purchase the 7821 as and when required.

On the 79xx series when you begin dialling a number on the phone menu it will provide you with a list of numbers from your call history, thus you can quickly move the cursor down the list to the respective full DDI without having to type the full number.

This does not seem to be working on the 7821.  is this functionality available ?    I am not quite sure of the correct term to use to search this query.  I think "last number redial", but then Cisco may have a specific fancy name for this feature.

We are running CUCM 8.6

Could anybody point me in the general direction,  help or advise?

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi Dave,

I tested it on my IP phone and face the same issue. It seems that it is working as designed on these phones. At best you can upgrade the firmware to latest version on one 7821 and see if the behavior is the same and check with TAC if this is supposed to be addressed in any of the future versions.
