Hi,
This might be a silly question but I must know. For a centralised topology, a call initiated from a remote site to main site using a region of main site-->remote site G.729, will this required dsp resources?
I am aware that for conferencing to take place for remote site/main site calls dsp resources are needed.
Please assist.

Hi
If the two devices support G729 (e.g. two Cisco IP phones) then no transcoders are required.
Transcoders are used in your scenario when a device (e.g. conference bridge or voicemail) that doesn't support G729 must take the call.
