I'm having an issue where DTMF isn't always being transmitted in realtime. It seems like there can be a pause and then a bunch of tones sent all at once - very fast. We have not made any changes to server or gateway settings recently.
I'm running two CallManagers (Pub & Sub) v7.1.5.31900-3 and using 7940 phones running v8.1(2). The gateway is a 2821 running
c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-20.T. We have one PRI for local and outbound toll free. We also have two voice T1s for LD and inbound toll free.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

confirm where is the issue exactly
Is this DTMF problem faced when calling internal ? if so then it is cucm problem or ip phone fw issue
is this faced for calls passing through the GW but not found internally. then check your gw at this time

Good question - I should have clarified that this only appears to be an issue with calls going through our gateway.
