Hello,
There is no special procedure to create a dummy extension number (DN) on Call Manager.
Just create an extension that is not used in your Call Manager and eventually put on the DN description "Dummy Extension"
I hope it helps,

Hi Alan,
Just to add a note to the good tips from German (+5 German)
One way to create a "Dummy" or "Virtual" number in CUCM is
create it as a CTI-RP (CTI-Route Point.) When you create a
CTI-RP you will be able to set a CFWD on the DN page
Cheers!

You can just create translation pattern (with dummy number) and then in called party field you enter number you want to forward to.

Why are you responding to a 13 years old post? That just resurface it at the top of the list and clutters the community.

Because I was trying to accomplish what OP was trying to do, saw solutions, tried them, they did not work, then I tried my "own" solution, it has worked so I figured out it might be helpful for somebody else as well.
