Hi guys,
I have read the Cisco Collaboration System 10.X SRND chapter about Call Admission Control to have a better understanding of the way intercluster CAC should be defined. I have come to the conclusion that the design that best fit with my architecture and the Telepresence needs, is to have a Location and Link Management Cluster with the other clusters only getting configured with the locations as depicted in the figure 13-10 of the SRND:
I have a good view of the way everything has to be configured apart from the Regions. I do not understand the way the regions in such a design have to be configured.
I believe, I have to create a Region for each site (i.e. Location as each physical site will be a represented by a Location) of the topology and one for the MPLS Location.
If so, in each Region, can I only define the Audio and VIdeo call rates toward the MPLS Region ? Do I have to define the Audio and video call rate toward all other Regions ?

Hi Laurent,
You can define the audio / video call rates between all regions. If it is not defined then the following service parameters decide the call rate
Default Intraregion Max Audio Bit Rate
Default Interregion Max Audio Bit Rate
Default Intraregion Max Video Call Bit Rate (Includes Audio)
Default Interregion Max Video Call Bit Rate (Includes Audio)

Thank you Manish, I think this is what I was looking for !
I'll try this.

Regions are independent of Locations and CAC, they simply state what codec is used between them and within them, the only consideration for regions when designing CAC or EL-CAC is what codec you expect to use for calculation of your location bandwidths.
