I am studying for my ccnp-voice and I am making some adjustments to my ephones. This is a 2800 series router with SIP configured from voip.ms. I currently have my ephones setup as such:
ephone-dn 1 dual-line
number 1462
ephone-dn 2 dual-line
number 1463
ephone 1
mac address xxx.xxx.xxxx
button 1:1 2:2
As of right now I am able to call outside numbers without an issue, however I noticed when I accidentally deleted ephone-dn 1 and recreated it I could no longer call outside numbers, 1462 could call 1463 and vice versa but I could no longer call my cell phone number or any other outside numbers. Is this a bug or is there another step to deleting an ephone-dn?
All I did was perform the command:
conf t
no ephone 2 dual-line
That is it
