Call attendant software would not login, tried to restart CTI manager service on publisher server but could not access services. Logged into console and saw CUCM publisher server showing the following errors - see attachment. Running CUCM 8.6.1 on VMware platform.

Are you oversubscribing memory on the server where that VM lives???

Probably, this is what OOM means, actually
Patrick, is this system used for testing, perhaps? Did you assign enough RAM for your CUCM instance?

We are not oversubscribing memory. Currently using 19 of 24GB.

19Gb of 24Gb on host.
Actual VM is utilizing 3.79Gb of 4Gb.

Hi Patrick,
I think what Jaime and Gergely were rightfully trying to say was that the Subscriber VM is running out of memory. The reason for this could vary from not enough memory allocated to this particular VM to a memory leak on the UCM box. The OOM killer kicks in and starts killing processes randomly which are consuming high amounts of memory. The only thing you can do is to reboot the server to recover the memory and ensure the services start up cleanly. You would also need to take a deep dive and investigate with the help of perfmon logs. I would suggest opening a TAC case if everything seems to be in place and the server has been in production for sometime now.
HTH.

Harmit.
