Hello,
I am trying to make an external bell ring at the same time when a Cisco VoIP phone is called. The environment we are in is very loud and the ringer was great before we implemented VoIP.
I have the external bell connected to a FXS port off of my 2800 router. When I call the number I asssigned to it, it rings. I assigned the same number to a Cisco VoIP phone in Call Manager, but it only rings if I have the "destination-number 9195551212" removed from the FXS port.
I searched for ideas/answers on the board, and found that some said to use the stcapp option and to set the maximum call option to 2 or higher on the number in call manager. However, this made no difference; I can either have the bell ring, or the number - but not both.
Anyone have any ideas?
dial-peer voice 502 pots
description External Bell
preference 1
destination-pattern 9195551212*
incoming called-number .
port 0/1/2
!
*NOTE: Number changed for example.
Thanks!

Configure the port in SCCP mode, instead of H.323 as it is now (search)
Register it to CUCM as analofport device.
Configure a shared line appearing on said device, and an IP phone.
The two will ring in parallel, done.

Hello Paolo,
What if this is a CUBE with DIDs traversing across the MPLS link. Inbound DID hits dial-peer on the FXS port of the CUBE will take presents over the phone configured in UCM and never ring? I believe Country is asking this question but could be wrong? But if you know this answer it will help me with a similiar issue I am having.
Thx
