External extension registration on Cisco Jabber

Hello Cisco Community,

Is it possible to register an external extension on Cisco Jabber, so that PSTN calls should be dialed/received directly on our Cisco Jabber Softphone?

If this is possible, then can we have some documentation links so that we can setup Cisco Jabber this way.

If you're asking if you can configure a DID on Jabber, the answer is yes.

If you're asking if you can register some other phone number in Jabber that is not configured and coming through CUCM, the answer is no.

There is no documentation on how to configure a DID, I strongly suggest you engage a local Cisco Partner WITH voice specializations or a reputable consultant with voice experience for assistance.

Domain: mysipproviderdomain.com

This is not possible. Jabber do not act as an individual SIP client that can be registered with a service provider SIP service. For this you’d need to look elsewhere.
