Hi,
I have a issue whereby external calling parties to analog phones are not getting a ring back tone; no issues with internal calls. No issues with the IP phones as well.
The PBX is running on Cisco 2951 and CME version 7.1.
Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
Regards,
M Noor

Hi Mohammed,
Please post dial-peers and "debug isdn q931" for incoming calls from PSTN.
Most likely you would be able to fix the issue by adding "tone ringback alert-no-PI" into incoming POTS dial-peer.
Cheers,
Boris

Hi,
You could try the global command "voice call send-alert" which changes slightly the ISDN ringback messages sent to the ISDN telco.

Here's the Cisco doc that usually explains this issue:

Hi Adam,
Thanks for the information. I had scheduled to isolate the issue this afternoon and the global command worked like a charm.
