Hi,
Devices:-
CUCM 8.0.3
IP phone 9971 with firmware sip9971.9-0-4.
There are two problems:-
1. When user enter Force authorization code (FAC) for long distance calls, it get displayed on the phone. Thus any other user near the phone can see the FAC.
2. If the last number dial required FAC, then user is unable to use Redial softkey. As user press redial softkey the last dialled number with suffix FAC gets dialled & calls does not get completed.
For e.g. if 02034767689 is dialled with using FAC 12345. If now user user press redial the number gets dialled is 0203476768912345 & calls doest not complete (error message is played).
Regards,
AJ

Hi AJ,
FAC/CMC is not yet fully supported on SIP phones. This is tracked in defect CSCta93018.
As you can see it also mentions the clear-text behavior you're currently seeing.
For now this defect is still in an open status, unresolved. If this is critical for you, I would advise you get in touch with your Cisco account team who may raise the importance of resolving this defect to our Business Unit.
Thanks,
Cedric
