Unity connection worked fine but for some odd reason UCM isn't working. It fails after about 1 hour or so.

Attached is the log file. Thanks,

J

HI,

How much RAM memory you have on the server? For 8.5 versions, 4 GB is strongly recommended.

From the log file I see this:

E5606  @ 2.13GHz, 3072 MB Memory:

Tere.

Strongly recommended but not a min requirement. We do have 3GB but I doubt this is the issue. I will upgrade to 4 on monday and try again.

Thx

You might want to try a new media.

sent from my BlackBerry----

I have had a media sent directly from cisco, it wont even pass media check test let alone install..I have had a media passed media test and failed after 1hr of install. It may not be a media issue but if you have a different one you may want to try it

if possible can you go to RTMT and get the install log, not the date log that you have attached, there should be a file install.log, also can you provide the following.

also from the ssh can you get me

file get inactivelog /cm/trace/dbl/sdi/installdb_l2*
file get activelog /cm/trace/dbl/sdi/installdb_l2*

Here is the install log you requested.

Unfortunately the commands you posted below don’t work in the CLI.

Sorry for the late reply Julien.

This is what i see in the logs

Name of the file

It should only be UCSInstall_UCOS_8.5.1.13041-1.sgn.iso, kindly rename the file, this is causing dependencies errors when extracting and installing rpm files

Snippet below

Can you rename the file to the format i have given and retry the install.

i.e

UCSInstall_UCOS_8.5.1.XXXXX-Y.sgn.iso

MD5 checksum  : e9fac7144f4060014136b01af62067b6

hope this helps

Thanks for the tip, Unfortunately, this is a Media CD given to me by Cisco because our PUT wasn’t working. I will ask them to produce another CD with what you suggested.

Changing the name for the install didn't work and I confirmed that the MD5 checksum matched.

Attached are the install logs and alos the CLI active and inactive install db logs.

thanks,
