Fax problem connected in FXS of a H323 GW

Hello

I have the following topology:

fax---fxs-h323GW-------IP--------h323GW-----E1----PBX-----PSTN

There is a problem when I send/receive faxes..

What is happening is that it sends/receives only the half of the page or some lines of the page.

I have checked the E1 and it's clear.

The routing is ok.

What else I can check?

Hi,

which fax protocol are you using  ?

are you using relay or pass through

if relay T.38 or Cisco Fax relay ??

If T.38 then NSE based or protocol based ??

if pass through Modem pass through or modem pass-through ??

New setup or existing one ??

any changes ???

can u paste the sh run of both the routers ???

debug voip ccapi inout for the failed calle with calling and called party number ??

and show call active voice brief atleast 5 times during the call as son as the call starts ??

although you have checked the controllers , can i still ask for show controller t1 on the controlller where the call is going . to pstn

Please rate if you find the info useful.

Hi,

Can you please check for slip errors under the show controller output?

Yes, Payal has it. I suspect you will be seeing clock slips on your E1 controller.

Make sure you have configured the "network-clock-select" command under on the E1 card.

Barry

No slips secs

The problem occurs also when I send from fxs to fxs (localy) too!!

I have tried passthrough and relay..

perhaps it's a bug.. i have tried everything.. i dont know what else to do

When calling FXS to FXS, are you using the internal extension or the full E164 number? have you verified that voice calls between those two ports don't experience any voice quality issues?
