Question - The Cisco 6500 Series switch is the acting as - DHCP Server, will this be an issue for the phones to get the needed Firmware?.
Issue - A valid TFTP server must be set in DHCP option 150 or option 66 on the DHCP server.

Not at all, any DHCP server/switch is fine as long as you can define option 150.
