Firmware upgrade issue

hello - I was attempting to upgrade my 7970 firmware from SCCP70.8-3-1S to load SCCP70.9-1-1-SRS1.  After the phone reboots it tries to take the new load but the an "Authentication Failed" shows up on the display and the process stops and the phone goes back to the old load.  Any and all ideas are greatly appreciated.

From the release notes,

For  all SCCP firmware upgrades from firmware release versions earlier than  8.3(3) to version 9.1(1)SR1 or greater, you must first upgrade your  firmware to an intermediate version (8.3(3) - 8.5(2)) then upgrade to  9.1(1)SR1.
