Is it possible to forward calls that I take (as an admin assistant) DIRECTLY in to my boss' voicemail?? New to this phone system, so it may be simple but I can't figure it out! Thanks!

The short answer is "It depends". Speak to the person in charge of your phones. On the last system I administered, I added an option to add an asterisk in front of an extension, and that would put you right in to a persons voicemail. If that was the case, you could forward the call to asterisk and your bosses extension, and that would do it. But that only works if its set up.

Wrong community to ask this and you didn't specified what you mean saying "this phone system", so don't wish so much for valuable reply here.

Hi There,
Presume you are using CUCM, yes, it is possible to forward calls to directly forward to someone's voicemail.
The idea is that you have Voicemail Profile with a special character like * or # (only these two are dialable from the phones).
When someone needs to be transferred to their voicemail , simply hit Transfer and # or * and dial the number and it will transfer the call to the Unity Connection, effectively delivering the call to the recipient's voicemailbox.
