FXO goes DOWN from DOMANT after doing shut & no shut

Guys, I have voice getaway CISCO 2901 router, after booting all FXO ports go to operation state DOMANT then after doing shut and no shut they go to operation state DOWN. I tried to unplug and replug the card, I tried to  plug the FXO card into different EHWIC slot, I tried to replace the FXO,  I tried to blow

the FXO card using a brower but still the card has the Operation State is DOWN. Please I need your help.

The box is running on c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M4.bin. Now I'm searching the upgrade options. Do you have an idea which IOS is avialbe on the internet? Sorry if this sounds awkward.

I have been seeing some earlier posts hich say FXO works anyway as said by Mr. Paolo and some have upgraded their router IOS .

U can try upgrading the IOS to 15.1.4.M6

I failed to download the IOS the PICA Registration Number and Verification Key are required. I asked my Cisco Reseller and they say I the kit does not has a service contract. I asked quotation for

Cisco SMARTnet - Extended service agreement - replacement - 1 year - 8x5 - NBD.

However If someone here has got the IOS, is it allowed to share?

Hi ,

the IOS size is about 70-75 MB which is difficult to be shared.

While downloading the IOS , u need to provide the info as u are being asked.

What u can do is if the customer has more router of same model/ISR G2 covered under valid contract  , u can use those credentials to downlaod the IOS .

However I'm stuck with only one option to purchase the Smartnet Contract and will proceed with the IOS upgrade thereafter. Give me three to four business days and will update.

Hello guys,

I upgrade the voice gateway to IOS c2900-universalk9-mz.SPA.151-4.M6.bin  but still the FXO ports have steady  amber light. I will try to upload other versions to see if it will help. Please let me know if anyone out there has an idea.

Guys, is there a posiblity that the DSP Module has defect? I'm thinking of replacing the Module and see if it will work.
