hi all,
i have a requirement to house 2-3 sub-company under a parent company sharing one CUCM UC infra & E1 link.
Is it possible to share split the 30channels in the E1 PSTN from telco? Eg 10 channels to be dedicated to each sub-company with their own running set of num/DID for incoming & outgoing calls.

The short and simple answer to your question is no. As there is only one signaling channel it’s not doable to do what you ask about. What you can do is split the use of the E1 with different dial peers and set a limit on how many simultaneously calls that is allowed on these. That should achieve the same end result more or less.

hi there thanks for your input. I'm sorry i did not quite get it, you u mean that YES, IT IS possible but with the use of dial peers by splitting the channels? Will i be able to use the dial-peer method to control both incoming and outgoing calls for the diff departments thou

That is correctly understood and yes you can use dial peers to send it to different departments. It's a matter of setting the proper information for called or calling number to be used on the individual dial peers.
