Level 1

Hi,

in some calls we have some eco problems. I have revised the 7960 statisct tool and it shows me that i have the follow levels in external calls:

(the system is a callmanager 8.5 and the phones are registered through a wan)

1st call) average jitter: 62 ; max jitter 77

2nd call) average jitter: 75; max jitter 92

3rd call) average jitter 40; max jiiter 97

two questions:

is this time in ms???

are this level normal or not??, i have read that the normal level is 30ms

thanks

Mate,

yes these times are in ms. what I have seen  os that 30ms is sort of the acceptable value.  but it all depends on  RTP buffer sizes.  The values that you present above are on the high  side and I would definitely look into what is causing it.

this is a good read when it comes to trouble shooting:

(typically these issues are hard nuts to crack as they require e2e troubleshooting across the whole RTP path)
