Activation codes offer a straightforward and secure method to onboard remote endpoints for Mobile and Remote Access (MRA). This feature eliminates the requirement for an MRA user to be physically on-premises during their initial phone setup. Instead, remote users can simply plug in their phones, enter the activation code, and begin making calls.

Is there a way to determine which method the MRA phone used in order to register? No report can display the method it used. See if the “Require Activation Code for Onboarding” checkbox is ticked in the phone export.
Require activation code is unchecked as soon as the device registers using a code, so that cannot be used to track down devices that has registered with a code.
