When our faxes receive a second call while busy, the second call overflows to our POTS lines. According to the carrier that happens becuase we are sending a cause code 17 to them which triggers the overflow feature over our ISDN Pri lines. Per the carrier to avoid triggering the overflow we need to send a cause code 31, or some release alert to not trigger the overflow.
In accordance with Cisco TAC the cause code cannot be changed on an H323 GW.
Is there a way to configure callmanager or the GW H323 with a work around that will either send a busy signal to the carrier, or have the system provide a busy signal on the second line?

Hi,
Which type of H323 gateway are your faxes connected to ?
Did you configured "hunt-stop" on your pots dial-peers to prevent to overflow
Maybe you can add "max-conn 1" command on either voip dial-peers.
Hope that helps
