I use the show line command and it shows:
dsx1(slot/unit/channel)=3/0/15, status=VDEV_STATUS_ACTIVE_CALL.VDEV_STATUS_NEGOTIATED.
but when i do show isdn status the b-channel 15 does not show as having an active layer 3 call. Is there some wierd numbering scheme? How do I find out which b-channel a tty line is using?

Use "show voice call status" command.

Hmm, that doesn't seem to work. When I do show isdn status I get:
Global ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
ISDN Serial3/0:23 interface
dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = primary-dms100
Layer 1 Status:
ACTIVE
Layer 2 Status:
TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
Layer 3 Status:
8 Active Layer 3 Call(s)
CCB:callid=801E, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=23, calltype=VOICE
CCB:callid=807A, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=20, calltype=VOICE
CCB:callid=80AC, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=19, calltype=VOICE
CCB:callid=80BA, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=21, calltype=VOICE
CCB:callid=80C5, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=22, calltype=VOICE

CCB:callid=80E7, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=17, calltype=VOICE
CCB:callid=80FF, sapi=0, ces=0, B-chan=16, calltype=VOICE
Active dsl 0 CCBs = 8
The Free Channel Mask: 0x80007FFF
Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 2
for the active serial interface but when I do show voice call status I get:
CallID CID ccVdb Port Slot/DSP:Ch Called # Codec Dial-peers
No active calls found
There are 3 users on tty ports, two show:
dsx1(slot/unit/channel)=NONE, status=VDEV_STATUS_UNLOCKED
for the show line command but one shows:
dsx1(slot/unit/channel)=3/0/15, status=VDEV_STATUS_ACTIVE_CALL.VDEV_STATUS_NEGOTIATED
I want to clear the channels that aren't actually in use but not ones that are. These are not actually voice calls but calls to modems that I think sometimes don't get the ath command sent.

Hi.
Do you have configured TTY on your Voice gateway?
If yes please post your config here.
And if show voice call status doesn't give any output while show isdn status or show isdn active give some output, probably they are all TTY sessions.
Let us know
Regards
Carlo

Not sure what you mean "Do you have configured TTY on your Voice gateway?".
I am using DDR dialer profiles:

Hi
What I meant is if you are using your T1 for data calls.
Can you please share a show isdn active detail and a show line?
Thanks
Regards
Carlo

Yes I am using the circuit for data calls. It is an ISDN PRI - T1
