Hi all,
As per the call flow below, is any way to block specific calling numbers on SIP voice GW or CUCM 7?
( I could see H323 is capable, not sure about SIP voice gateway)
PSTN -> digital T1 ->SIP voice gateway -> Cisco Call Manager -> corporate user
Thanks in advance,
Howard

What hardware is running the SIP gateway? If it is IOS, can you run a TCL script on it, like on an H.323 gateway?

The SIP voice gateway is running on Cisco 2851,IOS 12.4T

I think you can use the TCL script that blocks a list of calling numbers. It's one of the sample voice TCL scripts over on the Cisco Developer web site.

How many numbers you need to block ? For less than 15, you can use a translation-rule with to refuse calls under the incoming voip DP.

thanks all for your reply. Only one phone number I need to block.
I made change to voice gateway, still not working. I attached the change I made below. Anything I missed?
voice translation-rule 1
rule 1 reject /XXXXXXX/
!
!
voice translation-profile call_block
translate calling 1
!
!
dial-peer voice 100 pots
call-block translation-profile incoming call_block
destination-pattern 9T
incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dial
port 0/0/0:23

Apply the profile as translation-progile, not call-block.

I tried, still doesn't work.
dial-peer voice 100 pots
translation-profile incoming call_block
.....
Also, I added the translation profile to voice port, the call still goes through.
voice-port 0/0/0:23
translation-profile incoming call_block
input gain -6
output attenuation 6
Any idea? Any more information I could gather for troubleshooting?
I run " debug isdn q931" , it showed the correct calling number which I want to block, ( eg. rule 1 reject /1234567890/ , tel#1234567890 is the number I want to block)
Thanks a lot!
